Chanterelle - Pleated Shawls

The air in the autumn forest is cool and humid. Here and there a colourful leaf is lying in the grass. And there, in the moss, yellow chanterelles shimmer. I carefully pick up the fragile stems and gather the bright yellow, fragrant mushrooms.

Chanterelle evolved from the challenge to weave a lamellar or ribbed structure. If you are curious, you can read more about this in my journal.

The series of ten individual scarves is woven in silk and and merino wool, each shawl is different. The look is not static, but changes when the fabric moves. The two sides have different colour shades, elegantly twisted fringes complete the look. The length is between 165 and 180 cm without fringes.
